Who we are
Counselrise is a business based in Greece, at Mpotsari 26, Ovria, 26334 Patras, Greece. We are not a UK-registered company. We work remotely with clients in the UK and elsewhere, and we are the data controller for the information described on this page. Questions about any of it go to [email protected].
How we contact prospective clients
We send a small number of cold emails to firms we think we can help, and we sometimes telephone. If you received one of those and have come here to find out what we hold and why, this section is the answer.
Where your details came from. Public sources only. The Companies House register, the Solicitors Regulation Authority's public register and its Data Sharing API, and your own firm's website. We do not buy contact lists, and we do not take anything from private or gated sources. What we hold about you is limited to business contact details and publicly available facts about the firm: the firm name, a business email address, a business telephone number, the website, and our own notes on what we saw when we looked at that website.
The basis we rely on. Legitimate interests. We are contacting a business, at a business address, about a service that is relevant to that business, in volumes small enough that every message is written individually. Each message says how we found you and how to make it stop. If you think that balance is wrong in your case, tell us and we will act on it rather than argue about it.
Your right to object, and how to use it. Reply to the email and say so, in any words. Or write to [email protected]. We stop straight away, no follow-up is sent, and you do not have to give a reason. You can also ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted.
What happens to your details afterwards. We keep your email address on a suppression list and nothing else. That record exists for exactly one purpose, which is to make sure you are never contacted again. Deleting it completely would mean you could be picked up from a public source in a later search and emailed a second time, so keeping the one record is how the objection is honoured rather than a way around it. If you would still rather we erased it entirely, we will do that once we have explained that consequence to you.
When you contact us
If you email us or book a call, we collect what you give us: your name, your email address, your firm, and whatever you tell us about your website and what you want from it. Calls are booked through Cal.com, which handles the scheduling details you type into its booking page under its own privacy policy. We use this only to reply to you and to do the work you asked for. We do not sell it, rent it, or pass it to anyone else for marketing.
Analytics and cookies
This site runs no analytics and no tracking scripts, and sets no cookies. No Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, no third-party trackers.
Hosting and infrastructure
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes standard technical request data, such as your IP address, as part of delivering the page to you, under its own privacy and data processing terms.
If you become a client
Any access you give us to your website, hosting, or analytics is used only to deliver the work we agreed, and it is handed back or revoked at the end of the engagement. Your domain, your content, and your analytics stay yours throughout. Client matters and case files are not part of the work and we do not ask for access to them.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office.
